Uki ride, October 26, 2003

Attached are the photos I took on Sunday at Uki. A great day with 7 bikes with 11 bods in total . Left Grafton at 9am .  Some of us waited for Rob as she went to the Loo near Rappville. Must have a chinese bladder!  Morning tea at Kibbles Casino.  Arrived Uki just before 12 noon after travelling via Kyogle. Very scenic run. Lunch at Cafe Uki where some members were distressed that no meat was served. Had lovely vegetarian lunch accompanied by a very talented singer, guitarist and harmonica player who had us foot tapping with his renditions of Cat Stevens and Bob Dylan. With storm clouds looming we all headed off to Lismore via Nimbin. Eric said he didn't need to stop at Nimbin for supplies as he grows his own!  We all got caught on the edge of a storm and got a little wet. After refuelling at Lismore we got  dressed in more appropriate gear the gang headed to Woodburn via Wyrallah Road with more rain falling! The majority decided at Woodburn to proceed home via the Highway and forgo a cup of coffee,  which left Woodsey and Vicki looking rather bewildered as they waited at the coffee shop! As we headed South we looked to the heavens with impending gloom , lightning and thunder, yet another storm but this looked like the sky would fall in ! Most of us got cover at the BP Tyndale while a couple on an ST decided to tough it out back to Grafton. Gee did it rain. Thankfully all got home safely even if a little wet.
A great day with good company, awesome scenery, great food and entertainment, even if we all got a wet arse ! Yes Vicki we should put this ride on the calendar for next year, we enjoyed the Cashew Burgers!
Yours in biking,
